Two shopping mall properties, Belvedere Garden and Provident Centre, were recently acquired in Feb for HK$1.9b. The yield accretive acquisition was funded by debt.

There is much potential for Fortune to improve their monthly passing rents of ~HK$16.5-19.5 psf (versus HK$32.2 psf for the original portfolio). Like the other suburban retail malls in Fortune’s portfolio, the two new properties have sizeable population catchment areas and are easily accessible by public transportation, including train stations.

SINGAPORE - Financially beleaguered Berlian Laju Tanker said yesterday that it had obtained an order in the High Court of Singapore that would prevent its ships from being impounded.

In a statement to the Singapore Exchange, the Indonesia-based tanker operator said the move "provides additional protection and assurance" to its customers that their goods would be delivered "in a safe and timely fashion" on all its vessels. It said it would continue to operate normally while undergoing restructuring.

英國《金融時報》引述匯豐亞洲行政總裁王冬勝報導,匯豐決定重點發展6個核心亞洲市場和兩個戰略市場。

重點6個心亞洲市場

王冬勝指,匯豐決定集中資源在香港以外發展盈利增長最快的6個核心亞洲市場,包括澳洲、中國、印度、印尼、馬來西亞及新加坡,及發展兩個戰略市場,一個是台灣,王冬勝指台灣是大中華地區第3個重要市場,另一個是快速發展的越南市場。

匯豐可能會出售或關閉7個亞太市場的零售銀行業務,包括孟加拉、汶萊、澳門、紐西蘭、巴基斯坦、菲律賓和斯里蘭卡,匯豐在這些市場分別只有10至20家分行。

MAPLETREE Logistics Trust (MLT) has bought seven dry warehouse facilities from Goodman Japan for a total of 17.5 billion yen (S$268.7 million).

Located in the Hokkaido, Greater Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka regions, the facilities will add 124,300 square metres of floor space to MLT's portfolio.

KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, has received no information on the reported cancellation of the deal, involving the share swap between Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Air Asia.

It was reported that stiff resistance from MAS employees to the share swap had prompted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to consider the option of unraveling the deal.

SINGAPORE - Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) yesterday said it would acquire a portfolio of seven warehouse facilities in Japan from Goodman Japan for a total of ¥17.5 billion (S$292 million), just days after it priced its S$350 million in perpetual bonds.

The seven warehouses, located in key logistics hubs in the Hokkaido, Greater Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka regions, have a total gross floor area of about 1.34 million sq ft and an average building age of 4.9 years, MLT said.

中國上週六公佈,其2月份出口按年成長18.4%,低於市場預計的31.1%。同時,該出口數據亦創下至少22年的最大貿易赤字。

在該負面消息,幾乎完全抵銷其他正面的經濟數據,並讓大部分區域股市在週一陷入跌勢。

截至下午5時30分,MSCI亞太區指數下跌0.6%,至126.20點,為3個交易日以來首次下滑。

重组将分两阶段进行,完成后,该公司在印尼的锡矿权益,将由目前的75%, 减至37.5%。一家印尼公司 OSRL 将通过认购股份的方式,拥有马熔锡印尼业务的37.5%。

在重组之前,马熔锡在印尼的子公司,将通过特别股息,将未分发净利分给股东,马熔锡将可分得3375万美元,约合1亿令吉。

(吉隆坡12日讯)马航与亚航换股问题愈演愈烈,市场盛传计划可能胎死腹中,但分析员认为,这两家航空公司换股计划已近尾声,告吹可能性低,若取消将成为大马企业界的不良示范。

上周传出,首相在上两个星期已经与马航职工会的代表会面,在这次会面后,促使首相萌生不进行这项换股计划的念头。

丰隆投资银行分析员接受《南洋商报》的询问时指出,马航与亚航的换股行动都将近尾声了,所以将整个计划回归至原本的状况,也就是不换股,是高度不可能的事。

亞洲航空(AIRASIA,5099,主板貿服股)和馬航(MAS,3786,主板貿服股)互持股權6個月以來,亞航已嚐到立即的甜頭;惟馬航卻未明顯受惠,這項聯盟會對馬航帶來怎樣的利惠,至今仍是個未知數。馬航和亞航是在去年8月9日宣佈互持股權和策略聯盟,以降低惡性競爭,建立雙贏的局面。兩方不再直接競爭,消費人擔心利益受損,但亞航承諾,不會因此而提高機票價格。


在這協議下,馬航大股東國庫控股讓出20.5%股權,以換取亞航的10%股權,而亞航大股東Tune Air讓出10%股權,換來馬航20.5%的股權。
